Sunday 07/26/2009 Air Pollution

12:30 AM: Moderate wood smoke continues. It's very smoky outside. As usual.

2:00 AM: Light wood smoke. Last check of the evening.

7:00 AM: Air is fresh. I stepped outside, took a deep breath and smelled nothing. This is the way it should be.

It's yet another smoky hell of an evening in North St. Paul, MN.

7:00 PM: Light wood smoke. It smells like someone is grilling with wood as a primary fuel. I think I know who is doing it.

8:30 PM: Very faint wood smoke.

9:05 PM: Extremely heavy wood smoke. With all the windows closed I can still smell that damn wood smoke coming in! That's how strong it is. Horrible. 78 degrees at this time, a gorgeous summer evening ruined by wood smoke.

10:00 PM: Very faint trace of wood smoke lingers.

11:00 PM: No wood smoke. Fresh air.

11:30 PM: No wood smoke. Last check of the night.
