7:00 AM: No smoke. Fresh air. If fireplaces are used for home heating, why is smoky air in the morning so uncommon even on weekends? Most people are home Sunday morning. But they are not using fireplaces or wood stoves. How are they heating their homes? 5 degrees at this time. The colder it gets the less fireplace use there is. This is not what one would expect during the cold months, but in North St. Paul, MN, spring, summer, and fall are much smokier than winter. If smoky air was limited to the winter months -- as it used to be -- I could live with it. But it isn't. This city is hell on earth.
12:00 PM: Faint to light wood smoke at this time.
1:45 PM: Faint to light wood smoke continues.
3:35 PM: Faint to light wood smoke continues. 16 degrees and cloudy.
4:45 PM: Light to moderate wood smoke.

9:00 PM: Moderately strong wood smoke continues. 16 degrees.
10:30 PM: Moderate to strong wood smoke. The air is extremely smoky at this time! You do not want to breathe air this polluted.
11:10 PM: The air is mostly clear at this time. The wind must have shifted direction.
The air was fresh when I woke Monday morning.
