A couple of homes around here had to sneak in some yard waste burning before the rain came. This happens often. When the rain approaches, the yard waste burners hurriedly do their thing and we get to breathe the smoke. Sometimes they even try to continue burning as the rain starts to fall. You can imagine how good that smells.
4:25 PM: Faint grass and wood smoke at this time. There is a pattern of yard waste burning around this time. 77 degrees and cloudy.
5:00 PM: Light to moderate grass and brush smoke. It reeks! It is coming from a different direction than the earlier burning. That makes two yard waste burners hitting us with smoke.
5:30 PM: No smoke. A rain sprinkle has started. Rolling thunder can be heard off in the distance.
6:15 PM: No smoke. Raining now. 64 degrees. The temperature dropped quite a bit.
There was no more smoke this evening. It rained most of the evening.
