The North St. Paul nightmare never ends. It goes to rest for 10 or 12 hours and then comes screaming back. Mornings like today, it doesn't go to sleep at all. It lingers all day, tormenting anyone with windows open.
6:00 AM: Faint smoldering wood smoke is in the air varying with the breeze. A great way to top off an evening of extremely heavy wood and waste smoke: with a smoldering wood smoke chaser.
I went out to find the source of the smoldering wood. I found it about a quarter mile away. I could not determine which house was producing the smoke. There are two homes for sale within a block. If a house in that area was responsible for last night's extremely heavy smoke, I feel sorry for the poor souls who buy those homes.
9:20 AM: A faint smoldering smoke comes and goes with the breeze.
11:00 AM: A varying faint smoldering smoke continues.
1:30 PM: The faint smoldering smoke continues coming in on the breeze.
1:40 PM: Light grass smoke. Now somebody is burning yard waste. It did not last long.
5:05 PM: Faint to light wood smoke coming in on the breeze. It varies.
6:25 PM: Very faint wood smoke.
7:30 PM: No smoke.
There was no more wood smoke for the rest of the night.
