I knew with the cooler temperature it would be a smoky evening. And it was.
4:30 PM: No smoke. 79 degrees, a very nice spring day.
6:30 PM: No wood smoke.
10:45 PM: Light to moderate wood smoke. It is really smoky outside. None of our nearby neighbors is burning. It could be someone a quarter of a mile away or more. I did not notice any smoke after 6:30 PM until when I fell asleep. I woke at this time to find the evening air in North St. Paul smoky as it usually is. I was not shocked in the least. If the air isn't smoky, that is what is shocking. 70 degrees at this time.
11:15 PM: A faint wood smokiness remains in the air.
Midnight: I happened to get up again around this time. The air was mostly clear.
