30 PM: No wood smoke. We are beginning to smell the lilacs and blossoms. The weather widget on this blog indicates a temperature of 57 degrees at North High School. The KARE 11 weather channel puts the current temperature at 54 degrees in St. Paul.
00 PM: Faint grass smoke on the wind followed by a hint of wood smoke. Somebody is burning grass somewhere. What sneaky people do is burn wood then throw their grass clippings on top of it to hide their illegal burning. I find grass burning to be less of a nuisance than wood burning. I have never experienced burning sinuses and nausea from the burning of yard waste.
30 PM: A very faint wood smoke can be smelled in the air. The burner is not close by.
00 PM: A very faint smokiness remains in the air.
00 PM: The air is fresh.
30 PM: Fresh air continues. Last check of the evening.
