12:20 AM: Light wood smoke continues.
1:00 AM: Faint smokiness in the air.
2:00 AM: Fresh air! We can finally open the windows in this hell on earth city! It is a very uncomfortable 78 degrees inside this house. The cool air feels nice. It is not easy to sleep when it is warm and uncomfortable.
For a while, I thought we might escape this evening without wood smoke. No such luck. There never is in this town.
5:15 PM: No wood smoke. Sunny, 63 degrees at this time. There was some rain drizzle earlier this morning. None now.
7:00 PM: No wood smoke. Fresh air.
9:15 PM: A very faint trace of some type of smoke is in the air. It is not strong enough to determine what it is. But in this city, and on a Friday night, it has to be wood smoke.
9:30 PM: Very faint wood smoke in the air. Somebody off in the distance is having a bonfire. Smoky air again in this nightmare of a city!
10:15 PM: Very faint wood smoke continues.
11:00 PM: Very faint wood smoke continues.
Midnight: Very faint wood smoke continues.
It did not start getting really smoky until after midnight.
