3:15 AM: Light wood smoke. 51 degrees. I checked the air on my way back to bed.
5:30 AM: A very faint trace of wood smoke remains in the air.
There was no wood smoke this evening. 49 degrees at 5:20 PM with light rain. The cold and rain kept any recreational wood burners or yard waste burners from doing what they love to do. Nobody upwind or nearby was using a fireplace either. It was a rare evening of fresh air in the city of North St. Paul, Minnesota.
The weather forecast is for highs in the upper 60s to low 70s this weekend. If the forecast holds it is going to be a smoky weekend. The early spring is a mixed blessing.
