4:00 PM: Faint to light smoke from burning leaves. It's fall. People burn leaves. People burn stuff all year round in this city. If it's combustible, someone will burn it.
9:00 PM: Light to moderate wood smoke. I dozed off early this evening and woke up around this time before heading to bed.
Midnight: No wood smoke. Air is fresh. I forgot to record the temperature earlier, so I did it now. It is 50 degrees at this time. It is a nice evening. Back to bed.
I'm going to document the air pollution in this city until the end of the month then I'm going on hiatus until April. I've documented the smoky air in North St. Paul every day from May through October. I started about half way through April. It has been a miserable smoky year. If history is a guide, 2010 will be smokier than 2009 unless it rains a lot.
