9:30 PM: Someone is burning wood. It isn't that strong, you can smell it. It is weak. Still, I wouldn't want the windows open and have to smell that damn wood smoke. There was no smoke detected prior to this.
11:00 PM: Very smoky outside. All you can smell is the powerful odor of burning wood. Offensive? Very.
This night would have been perfect to leave the windows open. Cool with dropping humidity. You just can't do that in this city. If you leave your windows open, your house will reek of burnt wood. We all have to waste electricity keeping the AC on at night because the mayor and city council sided with the burners.
